Those Who Are Gone But Not Forgotten.

Sadly, it has been quite a week for high profile celebrities in the music business passing away this week.

You will have heard that Jim Steinman died on 19 April. He was a composer, lyricist, Record Producer and Playwright. He did a great deal of work with artists such as Air Supply, Meatloaf and Bonnie Tyler, to name but three. He will be sadly missed.

But you may not have heard that this week we lost Britain's own Barry Mason, one of the top songwriters of the 1960's who wrote lyrics of tunes performed by countless artists. Within Sunday Gold just after 11 AM, we have a full tribute to him and you will hear from Barry himself.

Les McKeown, lead singer of the Bay City Rollers, also passed away this week at the age of 65. Roller-fans will be glad to know that we have plenty of songs from the band to be played on Retro Day especially in 70's Sunday Lunch.

Let's remember the people who have made music what it is on Team-FM - where great music matters.
