We hope all your preparations for Christmas are going well.
As usual, Brian D will be unwrapping the main Christmas programme schedule this year as he always does. Team-FM means more Christmas and we have more shows this time than any other year. But before we get to that, we have some special shows lined up for you on the run-up to Christmas Eve.
On Saturday at 2 PM, Spencer James has a special edition of Airplay40. He will be counting down the top 40 most played songs on radio around the world, with plenty of Christmas songs this week. Which artist will be number 1?
At 7 PM, it's the first of our well-known Christmas traditions, A Merry Disney Christmas. Join Brian and Lulu once again as we hear Disney classics from the very old to the newest, and we do mean the newest. The magic of Disney is the perfect way to enjoy Christmas as with Disney, all your dreams come true!
All our programmes on Sunday without exception are special Christmas shows: Retro Chart Show, Sunday Gold, 70's Sunday Lunch, A to Z of Retro, Our Time, Thanks for the Memory, David Hamilton's Million Sellers and Three Is a Crowd. The second hour of Our Time, focusing upon the 60's through to the 80's, is a novelty 45's hour. This is not our Christmas novelty special, (that comes later), but a celebration of many of the novelty songs released from the 50's through to the early 70's.
Our Christmas shows on Wednesday 23 December start at 9 AM. He's the man with the bag of records. Dave Mac is along to bring you the Christmas Retro Chart show. He'll count down the charts from two great years, and you'll hear the Christmas number 1's, but which years will they be?
She's back. She has the stars, the music and Christmas goodies to entertain you this holiday Wednesday. at 11 AM, well-known broadcaster Claire Sturgess brings you the 100 biggest hits at Christmas. With those classics and newer festive favourites you just have to sing along to, she'll be there to help your Christmas preparations go with a swing. You'll even hear from the stars with the stories behind some of the classics, many more than last year!
next, brian d hosts his Welcome to the Holidays christmas party. With food, drink, studio guests, the best festive tunes and a real party atmosphere, join Brian D at 7 PM. He'll also be unwrapping the rest of our Christmas schedule which runs through to late New Year's Day.
and then from 9 through to midnight, Brian Hartgen goes Christmas crazy with the music machine. 3 hours of festive favourites old and new, your requests and a great deal of fun. a lively show to spread some christmas cheer!
