Your Weekend Will Begin, Right On Time

Hi everybody. The time you know and love is fast approaching. On Friday, when the Clock strikes 7 PM exactly, in Ireland and the UK, that’s 2 PM if you’re on the East Coast of America, your weekend will begin. I will be here, live from Dublin Town, on the East Coast of Ireland, to bring another week to a close, and welcome the first weekend of September. Two hours of feel good music, and friendly banter will do the trick, to rid you from the stress of the busy week, and get you on track for the weekend ahead.

All our regular features will be here for you to enjoy, and participate in if you’d like too:
• Kick-Start. The track that sets the pace for the weekend ahead. Released in 1989, an Italian Dance group, will have us Toe Tapping.
• The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. You’ll hear 3 versions of the same song, performed by 3 artists. You are welcome to tell me which is Good, Bad or Ugly. A song released as a B-side in May 1965, made popular by the British group Soft Sell in the 1980’s, is down for decision this time.
• Weekend Rewind. Taking you back to good things that you did at the weekend in times gone by. How many of us go out to the pub with friends, and end up having a Sing Song at the end of the night? With a few drinks under your belt, you think you can sound better than all the rest. I can safely say I’ve been on both ends of this. Belting out songs at full volume, and hearing some awful versions of others. What song do you like to sing at the end of the night.? Feel free to share them with me, and I promise not to play your rendition.
• The One That Got Away. A track that is not often heard on Radio. Last month, the Album Graceland celebrated 30 years of being released. An Album shrouded in some controversy at the time, but a commercial success, we’ll hear a track that doesn’t get a great deal of Radio Airplay.

If you’d like to be in touch with me before, or during the show, you are most welcome too. To request a tune that makes you feel good, to participate in any of our features or simply to say hi, it’s very easy. You can:
