Dream World, the Annual ABBA Special Comes to Team-FM!

Hi everyone

For many years, the Music Machine has celebrated the work of a group highly popular in the 70's and 80's, ABBA. They became one of the most commercially successful acts in the history of popular music, topping the charts worldwide from 1974 to 1982. ABBA won the Eurovision Song Contest 1974 at The Dome in Brighton, UK, giving Sweden its first triumph in the contest. They are the most successful group to have taken part in the competition. ABBA are estimated to have sold 140 to over 500 million records, making them one of the best-selling music artists of all time.

In our ABBA special show each year, I do not tell the story of the group; that has been done many times before. But you will hear album tracks, rare studio performances, TV appearances and ABBA members talking about their careers as they were in the 1970's and 80's.
We'll have a great time hearing ABBA's wonderful music!

While undoubtedly you will hear tracks spanning their entire output, during each programme I've always focused on one of their iconic albums. Last time I broadcast this show, I featured ABBA's Arrival album from 1976. This time, we put Voulez-Vous under the spotlight. You'll hear tracks from it, about its creation, and information concerning its production.

For ABBA fans this show will be a real treat. If you're new to the music of the group, I hope you enjoy the show! If there are any particular ABBA songs you would like to hear, I will certainly have them, so do let me know by Emailing brian@team-fm.com, or through Facebook and Twitter at TeamFMRadio.

Where ever you are on Saturday at 7 PM UK time, 2 PM US Eastern, there are many ways to hear the show including: Our Website, www.team-fm.com/click, directly from our Facebook page, through our Android and IOS Apps by searching for Team Fm, or by simply asking your Amazon Alexa device to “turn on Team Fm UK”. It’s as easy as that.

I look forward to bringing you the sound of ABBA, and remember, in the words of the song, the Music Still Goes On!
