Welcome to a Festive Weekend

Hi everyone. Traditionally when I was young, December 8th was always seen as the first day when the preparations for Christmas got into full swing. People from the country would come to Dublin town to start their Shopping, the festive decorations would be hung up and the Party season would kick into gear. By the end of this Weekend, I’ll have done all of the above. No matter what your plans are, I’d love it if you could allow me Brian D, to Welcome you to the Weekend with 2 hours of upbeat tunes and plenty of festive banter, on the wonderful Team Fm, on Friday at 7PM in Ireland and the UK, or 2PM Eastern.

All our regular features will be on offer too, such as:
• Kick-start. We’ll set the pace for the Weekend ahead, beginning with a festive tune released in 2008.
• The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. You’ll hear 3 versions of the same song, by 3 different artists. You can tell me if you like too, which one is Good, Bad or Ugly. It’s a Christmas song this time.
• Weekend Rewind. Taking you back to good things that you did in times gone by, through memories and music. Predicting what would be the Christmas number 1 with my friends, was always something I enjoyed. Waiting to see who would strike gold on the chart before Christmas. The anticipation would build a few weeks before hand, right about now. Did you enjoy this too? And did your prediction come true? Or did it lose out to something else. Songs that remind me of this, will be the subject of our Weekend Rewind. As always, I invite you to share yours with me if you’d like too.
• Team Fm Top Tune of the Week. A large number of Singles are released weekly. However, to carry the honour of being the Team Fm Top Tune of the Week, it has to be top notch, it must be better than the rest. Just before it comes on, you’ll be advised to crank the volume way up because it’s so good. Our choice for this week, will be revealed at some point during the show.
