Well, it's nearly here, Santa will soon be on his way, and the Team-FM holiday programmes are in full swing! In our annual show we call Dead Cool, we celebrate the great music of those artists who are no longer with us, but they are cool because of the mark they have made on the world of music. They may be gone, but definitely not forgotten.

We think about Christmas early here at team-fm as this is the time we begin planning our festive schedule of shows. Usually we have approximately 130 hours of extra programming during the holiday. By the time we reach July and August, we know what the full Christmas schedule is going to be.

Burt Bacharach is widely regarded as one of the most important and influential figures of 20th-century popular music.
Starting in the 1950s, he composed hundreds of pop songs, many in collaboration with lyricist Hal David. Sadly, he recently passed away at the age of 94.

The second hour of Sunday Gold this week consists of a documentary about the man who wrote seventy-three US and fifty-two UK Top 40 hits. You'll hear about many of his songs, from the people who worked with him and from Burt himself.

We started our Christmas celebrations this past Saturday with festive shows across the weekend, and today we've brought you christmas entertainment from 1 PM.

The UK chart celebrated its 70th birthday this year. At 1 PM, join brian and lulu for The Song. Together, they'll play some of the best selling singles of all time. Will your favourite be in the selection? and which song will be number 1! There's bound to be some Christmas songs in there.
