Come and join me on the big squashy sofa in my home, The Bear's Lair, each Saturday at 4 PM UK (11 AM Eastern).
Bert the Leprechaun will welcome you and , if you're lucky, even pour your favourite drink, and find your request. In the lair you'll always find friendly chat, fun and, of course, fantastic music!
Each week, in the Crank it Up Corner, I play you two songs which have to be played as loud as is humanly possible without the neighbours calling in the cops! The great thing is, you don't have to always listen to my choices. If you have candidates for the corner, you can drop me an email, and your chosen songs will be rocking speakers all over the world!
This is where, each week, I play you two beautiful love songs. Sometimes they have a theme linking them, sometimes not. If you'd like to choose two love songs you want to hear, perhaps even dedicate them to someone special, you can easily do so by just dropping me an email.
Is there a song that has a special meaning for you? Is it so beautiful that you'll never forget where you first heard it? Did it scare you, so that it haunted you for years? Did it change your life? I'd love to hear about it! In my occasional feature, The Song, we tell your special story, and play your song.
You can contact me any time by writing to firstname.lastname@example.org or follow me on Twitter. The username is @lulu_bear
It would be fantastic to hear from you!
You can listen to the most recent shows on this page. Please activate any one of the links below to listen to the show of interest.
If you are a screen-reader user, please read the below instructions carefully!
When the required page is loaded, if the programme does not start playing automatically, please press the Space Bar when you are not focused upon a Link. Note that you may have to use your screen-reader's bypass key first before pressing the Space Bar. Using JAWS for example, this is Insert+3, then Space Bar, with NVDA, it is the NVDA Key+F2 then Space Bar. This can also be used to pause the audio playback.
The volume level can be adjusted by pressing the Less Than (shift+comma), and the Greater Than (Shift+Full-Stop or Period) keys. Again, your screen-reader's Allow Through key may need to be used first.
