Welcome to Summer!

Hi everyone. We all like a good party to let our hair down, or celebrate something, no matter what it is. Each year, Welcome to the Weekend has 2 parties, and today is our annual Summer Party. The doors will open at 7PM in Ireland and the UK, or 2PM Eastern. The good news is that is free to join in, and you’re all invited, where ever you live in the world, to celebrate Summer.

To Welcome the Weekend, I'll be there for you!

Hi everyone. After a long and busy week, I look forward to bringing it to a close today at 7PM in Ireland and the UK, that’s 2PM Eastern. On Team Fm, the station where great music really does matter. I’ll be there to Welcome you to the Weekend, with 2 hours of the best in feel-good music and friendly banter to get your Weekend on track.
The show is feature filled too:
• Kick-Start-Track. It’s the track that sets the pace for the Weekend. We’ll begin with a tune released in 1995, from a very popular American TV series.

Sing When You're Grinning! Novelty of the 60's and 70's.

The show Our Time, where we remember the days of the 60's and 70's, this week goes all out novelty!

These two decades gave us some of the best novelty songs we've ever had, especially British comedy, and so we'll be celebrating it this week.

As well as the classics you may know, I've been sorting through a lot of my old records to give you gems by Lance Percival, Norman Wisdom, Leslie Philips, Benny Hill, Kenny and Cash, Ken dod, Barbara Windsor, Peter Sellers, Bruce Forsyth and many many more.

In the words of The Beatles, "It Won't Be Long", until summer is here with us; just a few days.
So for part of the show, we will celebrate warm weather which we hope will come our way! It's all in the Music Machine tomorrow at 7 PM UK time!

I’ll be live from Dublin town, on the east coast of Ireland on Team Fm, the station where great music really does matter, to spice up your Weekend, by playing 2 hours of the hottest feel-good tunes around, with lots of friendly banter too. There are 2 well known artists performing live in Ireland too this weekend, and we’ll hear from both of them today.

What do you remember about the 1980's? The decade was famous for the launch of cable TV, Pac-Man, Rubik's Cube, Space Shuttle Columbia, and momentus sporting achievements. In TV, you'll perhaps remember the Blockbusters quiz show, Neighbours, the launch of Eastenders and of course there was Dallas. And who could forget movies such as Dirty Dancing, E.T., Look Whose Talking, Top Gun and War Games. You can relive them all, together with some of the best music ever made, each week as we head into the 80's Zone!
